1. What is media in teaching? How many teaching medya types do you know. Explain

2. Why teacher needs media in teaching?

3. What are the criteria of good teaching media

4. Do you think that the teaching media needs to be developed? why


Answer :


1. In my opinion, media in teaching are all kinds of channels used by a teacher as a means of delivery or an intermediary to convey messages or information to students. The teaching media that I know are 2, namely online teaching media such as the use of kahoot, YouTube, browsers and so on. And offline media such as the use of offline videos, puppet flash cards, billingual offline games, and so on. By using media in teaching, it will be more helpful for a teacher to teach in class and students will not be bored with monotonous learning.

2. In my opinion, a teacher needs media in teaching for 2 things. First, the use of media will be more practical, effective, and make it easier for teachers to teach in the classroom. Students will be more happy if the way of learning is not only explaining on the blackboard, but students will be more happy and enthusiastic if a teacher is able to create a way of teaching using media that makes students enthusiastic about participating in class. Second, the times are getting more sophisticated along with the times. So teachers are also required to be able to use and implement the use of media in the classroom.

3. The criteria for selecting a good learning media are: 

a. In Accordance with Purpose

b. Practical, flexible, and enduring

c. Able and Skilled to Use

d. Target grouping (selection of learning media cannot be averaged) 

e. Technical Quality.


4. Yes, I think learning media must be developed. Because we don't live to walk somewhere. As the times advance, new discoveries will be created. Of course we also have to be able to follow the times according to our respective abilities. A teacher must be able to be more skilled and creative in developing and using existing media, so as not to teach in an arbitrary or monotonous way.
