Answer!

1. In my opinion, understanding foreign cultures can be done through existing technology. We can find out the various foreign cultures that are spread around the world through communication. The purpose of intercultural communication, among others, is to express social identity and learn new things that do not exist in culture. Through intercultural communication, one can build mutual trust and respect as a cultured nation in an effort to strengthen peaceful coexistence and dilute prejudice, race, and ethnicity from one nation to another. In this way, it will avoid conflicts between cultures.

2. Local culture is an inter-ethnic, racial and ethnic culture that we have and occupy a certain locality or area that is different from the cultures of other people in different places. Meanwhile, foreign culture is culture that has entered due to the era of globalization, for example, such as western culture. Yes, in my opinion, foreign culture and local culture need to be integrated. The aim is that local culture and foreign culture can live in harmony through a process of adjustment. But we also have to be able to maintain our local culture so that it doesn't get destroyed and destroyed due to the influence of other cultures. We must also be able to get rid of the notion and thought that foreign cultures and other local cultures between regions are bad, in order to maintain a good relationship of tolerance.

3.  Stereotype is a decision or judgment against someone who only judges based on the perception of the group in which that person can be categorized. Usually stereotypes have a positive or negative belief that is held towards a particular social group. For example, the A tribe, is known for its loud volume and high tone of voice, so there is a stereotype that the character is like that, loud and rough. In fact, even though most of them are like this, it is not certain that the people in tribe A we meet have such character, so it is not right for us to behave according to the existing stereotypes.

While Prejudice is a decision or judgment made without knowing the actual relevant facts. This term refers to a judgment based on a person's race or other fields before having relevant information on which to base that judgment. Prejudice can take the form of feelings of dislike, anger, disgust, discomfort and even hatred. And in the end, prejudice can lead to discrimination in certain social groups.

Yes, stereotypes and prejudice do occur in my local cultural life, namely the Batak tribe. Many think that the Batak tribe is known for its roughness and big voice, even though I think it all depends on each individual. After the emergence of stereotypes, prejudice will emerge which are negative attitudes such as disgust, hatred, which cannot be justified in certain groups.
